By having a Markdown editor in the Journal, I believe the Journal experience will significantly improve.
Here are few thoughts:
  • Exporting to other apps should technically get easier (e.g. Obsidian)
  • You can add highlights to different sections of a markdown Journal depending on Headings (H1, H2, …)
I think there can be many other features added once the Markdown editor is used!
